Federico Fernandez (Elk Joy) is a composer, singer and producer based in Costa Rica. He started his journey in music at the age of 15 creating beats and playing in bars and parties back in El Salvador under the name Koers. When he was 19 he decided to move to Costa Rica. His music journey led him to work in several fields such as film scoring, music editing, events planning, and the release of his indie pop band Bad Tempered Sloths. Years later he decides to return to the electronic music scene, putting into practice everything he learned along the way to create new songs with new experiences and vocals under the new name Elk Joy. This leads him to release new tracks independently and with labels such as Clubshine Records and Café de Anatolia exposing him worldwide.

Seeing his musical success he started performing in Costa Rica in different bars creating a new fanbase with his collective Undertropic. Elk Joy has performed in Costa Rica, El Salvador and Guatemala providing a unique musical experience while sharing lineup with big artists such as Tomas Bisquierra, Flo Massé and Meli Rodriguez. Sharing his music and sets with thousands of people around the world while looking for ways to contribute back to society.
